We are proud to introduce our SAFE HAVEN Modular refuge chamber range, designed with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. These SAFE HAVEN chambers are expertly engineered as essential underground safety equipment to protect and preserve the lives of miners working underground.
The SAFE HAVEN Modular range, which includes modular refuge chambers, is available in capacities for 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 30 persons. This modular design is ideal for confined spaces or shaft mining applications where access is via a cage or swung below. Simply move the modules to the location and bolt them together to create effective underground safety equipment.
Standard Features of our modular refuge chamber include a 5mm steel plate construction, lifting lugs, drag points, and forklift slots for easy handling. The full structure features bolting flanges for enhanced stability, along with an escape hatch and a sealable door to ensure safety. Equipped with a CO and CO2 scrubber and gas monitoring, our SAFE HAVEN chambers prioritize air quality. Additionally, the battery backup lasts up to 36 hours, and the transformer operates between 415V to 1000V. To improve comfort, the chamber includes air conditioning, a toilet, and oxygen cylinders. For safety measures, a red-green strobe, siren, and fire extinguisher are also included, making this an essential piece of underground safety equipment.

An additional benefit of SAFE HAVEN chambers is their upgradeability. Simply add an additional middle seating module and upgrade the back life support module .
Modular Airlock
A popular option within our range of Modular refuge chambers is the walk-through Airlock Module, which features effective flushing options and can utilize atmospheric pressure, mine compressed air, or compressed air in cylinders.
These Airlocks also serve as private Toilet areas during entrapment, allowing for a safe separation from the Main Chamber.
